Disabled Role

After receiving the "Most Improved Female Actress Award" at last year's TVB Anniversary, in the new series, Shirley Yeung plays as a Control Room Operator, where in the entire serie, she has to film in a wheelchair – she lacks the body language and only expresses her character only by using her facial expressions. Shirley thinks that this time filming is a very big challenge, she says: "Last time in "Angels of Mission" I had many moving and fighting scenes, never thought that this time I didn't have to move. Whole serie sitting in a wheelchair, only relying on my facial expressions to film, it really tests the performing skill!"

This role receives the gauge to limit, luckily Shirley was not able to stumble filming for the role. Instead regards it is one kind disciplines, she raises the eyebrow saying: "Nikki (Name of role in "Always Ready") even though she has remnant bonds, but her attitude is very open, so I support this kind of role. For example, she adds many little expressions and says many kinds of phrases, hope that will affect everyone." Shirley expresses not only the phrases but her role is more visualized, so it does not have to passing deduction.

First time playing a disabled character, Shirley usually relies on using her eyes to see, the transformation personally for the feelings, in addition has a new experience, she says: "Although disabled people have some degree flaw and sometimes requires people to help, but they more often are independent and rely on one's own effort to revive. Like me playing Nikki outside working ability, ok, and sits in the wheelchair is also being able round more around freely, no needing to rely on people. The main point the director made Nikki's character like this is that to hope everyone can face up to the disabled people."
