Pushed Into The Water By Steven Ma, Shirley Yeung Results To Having Swollen Eyes

Yesterday, Shirley Yeung was filming a water scene for the new ancient series "Predicting Fate". As for the side of the river was uneven, the crew didn't want to risk her getting hurt, so they found someone else to jump into the water instead. Little did they know, Shirley wanted to jump in herself pretending to drown for 10 seconds but unfortunately the dirt water got into her eye, having swollen eyes as a result! Even though it was quite hard, Shirley did not complain at all.

This scene was talking about how Steven was being pursued by a group of people, but Shirley who was his savior got pushed into the water. As for the person who was to jump into the water for her, Shirley said: "Seeing him just jumping in without looking after himself, I was a bit worried. But then, he is very professional, so I don't think there would be a problem."

Shirley expressed that it's lucky that it was summer and filming water scenes isn't that hard. Usually when filming water scenes you would wear a swimming costume underneath, but this series' costume is quite thick, therefore there wasn't a need to protective clothing. As for the serie itself, there is a lot of action scenes. Once Shirley has the time, she would stretch her legs and muscles, she says: "Even though I don't know kung fu in the serie, my character is a girl who has supernatural powers ?always having to lift my leg and kick someone. So, when I have the time I have to exercise, then the result would be better."

Star Class Recommendation: Pizza

Ask yourself, what expectation do you have for a beach snack pavilion? The one who loves to eat everywhere is Shirley Yeung, who introduced a pizza pavilion where you order and they immediately make it! We especially admire their six word motto on the menu: "Food taste bad, you may refund!" So, if the food is bad, you can really get a refund? Yes, it's true.

Shirley likes driving her car to the small pizza pavilion, sitting there in an open air area taking a break. Don't think she has a very small appetite, Shirley is actually a pizza killer: "I really like eating pizzas, especially the really strong meat sausages type. I use to like eating thick crusts, but now I like thin crusts better, because thin crusts doesn't make you full so quickly. So then you can eat more slices."

General pizza stores' bases are mostly made using machines, it's thick and it's rather unpleasant to eat. This pizza pavilion's 2 managers hire people to make the base themselves. Handmade bases are crisper and have a chew to it; it has a thickness between 3mm to 4mm, perfect for Shirley's choice of base.

Staff member Mr. Chow says: "Our pizza bases are made one chef, every weekend he continuously makes bases. Every Sunday, he can make approximately 200 of them." Shirley, approves this sincerity greatly: "It's already a huge surprise that the pizza pavilion makes home-made pizzas, even though there isn't a large variety of types, but each and everyone of them are 'you order they make'. Wait 5 to 10 minutes then you can eat, this sincerity has already gained full marks. I heard the manager say, this place at night you are able to barbecue with cheese hot pot, next time I have to try!"

Shirley Likes Wearing Japanese Clothes

Japanese clothing has continuously been worn by Hong Kong stars, for example Joey Yung, Twins, Isabella Leong have always been fans. As long as you understand how to match the clothes, a shy image like Shirley Yeung can also turn into an "in" star.

Shirley, who has never really paid attention to fashion was wearing a stylist T-shirt and a cargo shorts, she says: "To me, simple and comfortable clothing is most important. It's quite rare to find me paying attention to western brands, and I don't really know how to match the clothes - but Japanese people have always given people a very cool and fresh feeling. My own image has always been shy and refined, so it doesn't show or give that feeling. Now, I realised the result is quite good, although the T-shirt design looks simple, but wearing the cargo shorts as well, the feeling given is much cooler and better, I'm still young! So I really like it!"

Shirley Hasn't Noticed Aimee Chan's Figure

The three Miss Hong Kong winners Aimee Chan, Janet Chow and Koni Lui were invited by a watch sponsor to receive their prizes. Shirley Yeung had been invited as a presentation guest, handing out the prizes for "Miss Photogenic" and "Miss International Goodwill" as well as receiving a gift for herself too.

Aimee's watch was very valuable, worth $380,000. Asked what she would do with it, she says happily: "I will keep it to wear myself and not put it in a safety deposit box because I want people to see it." As she won two awards, she was presented with two watches and she will make her selection based on what she is wearing, but she does prefer more feminine designs. She smiles: "I would like to be more ladylike and it needs to be very dependable because I don't want to be late!"

For Shirley, who was Miss Hong Kong winner in 2001, it has been five years already and being invited to be the presentation guest, she says that the fee was very satisfactory. Asked if she has met this year's winners, she smiles: "I have been filming so I don't see them, but I have met the winner." (Have you noticed her figure?) "No, I have not paid attention to this. Maybe men will be more interested in this." (Is your boyfriend like that?) "I don't think so."

"Predicting Fate" Costume Fitting

Steven Ma, Shirley Yeung, Mimi Lo and Yuen Wah attended the costume fitting for new series "Predicting Fate". Steven plays a kind-hearted layabout in the series and has a triangular affair with Shirley and Benny Chan, who was absent from yesterday's event. Steven laughs: "I have received scripts for two episodes so far, but I am tortured for one and a half episodes, such as being beaten up, thrown in the sea and then strung up to bake in the sun."

As the title suggests, this series is themed around predicting the future, but in real life, Steven does not like fortune-telling. He says: "The only thing I have done is to have a feng shui master check my home when I moved house. This is just a ritual custom more than about the future. I don't really want to know because if it is good then you will be happy, but if it is bad, then it will just make you feel terrible." It turns out that when he was working in Taiwan in 1996, Steven's company asked him to go and see a fortune teller, who said that he will fall from a plane when he is 48 and even if he avoids flying, he will still meet with an accident. Steven laughs: "If I am offered a job in America for a 20-show tour for a big fee, then I will find a way to get there. However, the words from this master has made me very uncomfortable and left a shadow on my life."

Shirley seemed very excited at the chance to appear in another ancient drama and this time she will be playing a Sitdan girl with braided hair, which is her favourite look. She says that she is more afraid of the cold than the heat, so it is not too bad filming ancient series in the summer. When she put her hand out to shake hands with the press, her hand was icy cold. She says: "The doctor says that I have poor circulation, so I have to do more exercise and not drink cold things."

"King Of Games"

TVB's new game show "King Of Games" began filming earlier with guest stars Shirley Yeung, Gregory Lee, Wong He, Halina Tam, Lam Chi Chung and Tin Kai Man and hosts Jerry Lamb, Nancy and Sam Li. As a couple, Shirley and Gregory were instantly the target for the jokes and tricks and at the beginning of the filming, there was suddenly some wedding music playing and it was suggested that they should get married there and then. Despite many years of dating, Shirley and Gregory seem to be lacking a little in co-operation and in a cushion jumping game, Shirley's chin kept bumping into Gregory's back, leaving her a little embarrassed. She says: "I did not know how to play this game beforehand and even if you are dating, you may not be totally synchronised with each other!"

Elderly Education Event

Shirley Yeung took part in an elderly education event yesterday and having grown up in a comfortable home, Shirley has been very good with her finances, so she shared some of her experiences with everyone. Shirley says that she has never really wasted money since she was young and she has always kept savings. Don't think that it is just housewives that haggle when they buy things, even as an artiste, Shirley will still haggle sometimes in order to save herself some money!

Shirley says that although she has been dating Gregory Lee for many years now, they have never had a joint account because they like to keep their finances independent. She only has a joint account with her mother so that she can make some stable investments. As her popularity and earning power are much greater than her boyfriend, there have always been rumours that he is living from her income, but she says with resignation that she does not earn that much and she has a lot of expense, such as looking after her dogs, paying for the car and the apartment and making donations to charity. She insists that her relationship with Gregory is one of love and not money, so in both communication and company, they are both very happy.
