"Heart Of Greed II" Plotlines Revealed

The costume fitting ceremony for the highly anticipated sequel Heart Of Greed II was held today, attended by many members of the original cast, including Ha Yu, Lee Si Kei, Susanna Kwan, Michelle Yim, Moses Chan, Raymond Lam, Tavia Yeung, Lai Lok Yi, Fala Chen, Bosco Wong and Linda Chung.

The backdrop for this series is a family bakery business, worth HK$10 billion and all of the characters are brand new.

Among the changes is the move for Michelle from being the hardworking and righteous aunt to a villain and in the new series, Si Kei and Susanna will no longer be love rivals, but will be sisters instead. Raymond and Bosco's characters have been switched around and Bosco will be playing the professional character, who will fight against Raymond for a romance with Linda's doctor role.

Ha Yu will be playing a couple with Si Kei, but they are divorced at the beginning of the show, each living with three of their children. Moses, Lok Yi and newcomer Wan Ka Hang's characters live with their father Ha Yu, whilst Raymond, Tavia and Fala are with Si Kei. Ha Yu revealed that his businessman character will be even richer than the first series and he will be less exaggerated in this role. He also hinted that there will not be an inheritance battle in the new series, but the storyline will focus more on the interactions between the family and how to build up to a happy ending.

Si Kei said that her character in the new series is a good person again and has a happy-go-lucky personality. She will still be offering sound advice in the new series and as her nickname in the show is "Fat Thing", she is currently working on putting on some weight for the role.

Once again playing a meddling role, Susanna said that she will bring a lot of troubles to her family in the new series. She smiled that she will be a cute villain though because her character is not malicious. She will have romance in the series with Wayne Lai, who plays a baker. Susanna said that with a number of fresh faces among the cast, it will bring a lot more variety and Kate Tsuiwill be playing her daughter. She also revealed that her character has returned to Hong Kong from Portugal, so she has been learning some simple Portuguese and English phrases to make her performance more convincing.

Michelle revealed that her character is the person who comes between Ha Yu and Si Kei in the series, sending away his children and spoiling them for her own evil schemes.

Lee Heung Kam is another of the new faces in the cast and she will be playing Ha Yu's mother, who dislikes Si Kei and is often scolding her. She said that the whole family will follow her instructions, but she is actually very child-like.

The characters of the younger cast members have also seen a vast change and Moses will be playing a genius stockbroker, who made his millions in his teens, but ended up owing millions when he is in his twenties. He laughed that the producer wanted to provide the audience with something to fantasise about, so he has been given a suave character this time. Tavia and Kate will be fighting over him in the show and he will also have a romance with his superior, played by Astrid Chan. Astrid laughed that when she found out that she would be kissing Moses, she immediately accepted the part.

Raymond's part in the new series will be much larger than his guest appearance in the original and he said that with this comes more responsibility. He revealed that his character is like a housekeeper and he has to be aware of everything that goes on in the family. He will also be taking bakery lessons shortly to prepare for the role.

After the weepy role of "Sheung Joi Sum" in the first series, Linda revealed that her new character is very much the same and is still very emotional. Bosco will be playing a gynaecologist in the show, but will not appear until ten episodes in and will only have a small part in the series. Asked why his role had been reduced, he did not respond directly and just said that Raymond's role was similar in the first show and he was still very popular and as they will be fighting over Linda in the show, he is worried about being accused of "stealing" his girlfriend.

Tavia revealed that her character is an adopted child and is often taunted by Susanna for this reason. However, the role is of a happy person and she will be fighting for the affections of Moses. She added that she is pleased to be able to test her acting skills against so many other leading ladies in the series. Tavia and Fala will be taking lessons in sign language shortly, because Fala's character is a mute and they have a number of scenes where they use sign language to communicate.

Shirley Yeung and Jack Wu will be guest starring as the young versions of Si Kei and Ha Yu's characters. Shirley said that she will be watching some of Si Kei's earlier productions to try and capture some of her expressions and gestures.

"Silver Mansion Golden Dust" Wine Banquet

A wine banquet was held last night for new TVB series “Silver Mansion Golden Dust” with over 100 people attending. Leading cast members included Nancy Sit, Ng Kwok Wai, Paul Chun and Christine Ng. Others included Shirley Yeung and Nancy Wu, etc.

Shirley says that the day before the banquet, they were filming a burning house scene where they personally see Paul being burnt to death. Although Shirley wasn’t too close to the area, but believes it seems quite real and wasn’t scared. Shirley also reveals that while filming the series she discovered that Christine is quite humorous. At first she thought she was rather cool but after filming with her, Christine often embraces her.

Shirley Yeung Enjoys Experience Of Being Beaten And Mistreated

Shirley Yeung was joined by the god of fortune at the unveiling of the Chinese new year displays at Hollywood Plaza yesterday, handing out lucky packets to the crowd in a happy atmosphere.

Despite wearing a short dress, Shirley was not afraid of revealing herself as she jumped around on some drums, which formed part of the display.

For the New Year, Shirley revealed that she will be taking her family on vacation and when asked if her boyfriend Gregory Lee would be going with her, she did not respond directly and just said that she was travelling with her family.

Shirley recently filmed a scene for new series "Silver Mansion Golden Dust", where she had to stand in water and was so cold that she cried. She said that her character is very sad and as well as the water scene, she is often pinched and beaten by her screen family. However, she has found filming good fun because she can experience what it is like to be mistreated.

Shirley Yeung Fully Clothed At Lingerie Show

Shirley Yeung looked rather odd among the scantily clad models at a lingerie show today, wearing a corset underneath her lace top and balloon skirt, that turned her outfit into daywear rather than underwear.

Presented with a souvenir award for "Perfect Attitude", Shirley admitted that her bottom line is just to appear in swimwear and she is not brave enough to appear on the catwalk wearing just lingerie. Asked if she would do it if her fee was increased substantially, she smiled that she was happy with what she was wearing and she cannot accept wearing anything less just yet.

Talking about her thoughts on lingerie, Shirley said that underwear is very important to women, because not only does it help to defy the law of gravity, it helps to shape the figure. She revealed that she is never too thrifty when it comes to buying lingerie and her most expensive item cost a four-figure sum. Asked if she would buy sexy underwear to wear for her boyfriend, she said that she chooses designs based on her mood and pretty items actually make her very happy too. As for whether her boyfriend goes lingerie shopping with her, she said that this is a very feminine thing, so it is better to go shopping with other girls.

Asked about her fee for the event, Shirley revealed that it was a five-figure fee. As for choosing some new underwear for the Chinese New Year, she smiled that she will buy something red for good luck.

Shirley Yeung Frozen, Cries For Help

Shirley Yeung has a petite and weak body. Yesterday, she had to film a scene where she was pushed into a “hot spring”. She was forced to submerge herself in a mountain stream for twenty minutes. The temperature of the water was only a few degrees. Her limbs were frozen. Her teeth would chatter and her lips turned purple. She cried as she had to go into the water. She cried so much that her fake eyelash fell out of place. She wept like a character in a tragic event. The worker on the set couldn’t help but go to help her warm up.

Yesterday, Shirley had to hike up a mountain in Bridal's Pool to film the mountain spring scene for the new series “Silver Mansion Golden Dust”. The scene depicted “Little Master” Matt Yeung tricking Shirley. His character ordered Candy Zhu to deceive Shirley’s character into the spring and then take away her clothes. Shirley’s character would be too embarrassed to come out of the water. In the end, her character would faint and a passing nun, played by Loretta Li would help her.

To prepare for the spring scene, Shirley wore plastic bags underneath her clothes to prevent herself from getting wet. But the water temperature was only a few degrees. Also, to achieve a hot spring effect, the workers placed large quantities of dry ice in the water. The water looked like it was smoking hot but it made the cold water icier. Shirley was in the water for only two minutes but her teeth were chattering and her face twisted with the chilling wetness. The camera did roll yet but she started to cry. She even cried off her fake eyelashes. She completely forgot her lines.

The workers saw Shirley’s tragic facial expression and couldn’t help but give her words of encouragement by saying: “Stay strong, bear it down!” Shirley had to brave the conditions and fight back tears. She had to pretend to like the hot spring and the filming continued for another ten minutes. Unfortunately, Shirley had a lot of long dialogue to recite. In the end, she had to get out and back into the stream water for a total of three times to complete the scene. In her last scene, Shirley’s limb was frozen and she couldn’t move. She had to fall back into the water with the nun that rescues her. Even her hair became wet. It is truly dreadful.

Shirley’s face was pale white. When she got out of the water, workers would wrap her in towels, adhesive warming pads and Matt would pour warm water onto her back to help warm up. Afterwards, Shirley would say with an unhappy expression: “It was so cold, I feel like my heart would come out! My head would be in pain after I get out of the water.”

Shirley admitted that she was afraid of the cold. She would be worrisome if she would have water scenes. She said: “When I was filming “A Change in Destiny”, I had to go into the water in November. But this was ten times chillier.”

Stephen Huynh Touches & Kisses Shirley Yeung To Welcome New Year

Last night on New Years Eve, Grasshopper, Shirley Yeung, Stephen Huynh and Sharon Chan attended a function at Tseung Kwan O East Point City for the New Year Countdown, welcoming 2008 with thousands of people. It was arranged that Stephen, Shirley and Sharon were to play a game which involved them using their mouth to pass the seaweed to the next player. There were numerous times where one mouth touched the another.

Later on, Stephen and Shirley changed into costumes and did a Latin dance performance. Since the two were so into their performance, Stephen carelessly touched Shirley's chest frequently. Shirley says: "We only practiced for half and hour! I only knew about the seaweed game when I got here, but I wasn't embarrassed, didn't think that I had been kissed. The time passed really quickly!"
