Shirley Yeung Fully Supports Linda Chung

"EEG's Singing Contest" will be held tonight. Yesterday Raymond Lam, Deep Ng and Shirley Yeung appeared together at the blessing ceremony. Shirley stated she will host the show with Deep Ng and Amigo Chui. Although it's her first time hosting a singing contest she wasn't worried if she was criticised for her performance, most important is that she will do her best. Recently several TVB artistes such as Myolie Wu and Linda Chung, etc were releasing albums. Shirley expressed that she liked singing and that her voice was okay. She also praised good friend Linda Chung's album very good. As to whether she will release her own album, she said that would be up to the company to arrange. "Earlier Linda gave me an album, I fully support her".

It will also be Deep Ng's first time hosting and he is very nervous about it. He will get advice from experienced host Amigo Chui and had written his lines on to a card which will certainly help his memory. Deep joked that his handwriting was very difficult to read and had to slowly copy his lines to be able to read it. Raymond Lam will sing a duet with Vincy Chan tonight "After Tommorow" cantonese version. It's the first time Raymond has attended the "EEG Singing Contest" since joining EEG. When discussing about many younger sisters and brothers to be born tonight, he said "I will finally have younger brothers and sisters in the company and will no longer be the youngest (newest) anymore." Raymond stated that since joining EEG's big family he has been very happy.

Shirley Yeung Proud At Olympic Achievement

Shirley Yeung played the part of the lunar matchmaker at a mid-autumn promotional event today in a shopping centre. She revealed that she will soon be heading to Canada to take part in a TVBI promotion, but will be back in Hong Kong in time to celebrate the mid-autumn festival.

Asked if she will be celebrating the traditionally romantic festival with her boyfriend, Gregory Lee, Shirley did not reply directly, just saying she will be celebrating with family.

After the recent incident during an Olympics celebration show, where Liza Wang has been criticised for yelling at the special guests to get onto the stage, Shirley commented that in live shows, everything has to be kept on time, so she understood why Liza was quite forceful with her instructions.

Shirley was a key member of TVB's Olympic coverage team this year and she expressed her pride at China's achievements. She said that she was overjoyed to witness the winning of the 51 gold medals first hand and despite all the gossip and news reports, she still threw herself into the work. She welcomed comments and criticism from viewers on her performance so that she can reflect and improve. She also hoped that people could see that she had put her heart into the job.
