Shirley Yeung Injures Herself In High School Leaving Her Cripple For 2 Months

Miss Hong Kong Shirley Yeung has already left school days, but feelings for her mother school remain. This is because she started her education at this school when she was 6 years of age, and even injured herself playing sport. Beginning from Year 1 of primary school, Shirley studied at Kowloon's Maryknoll Fathers School until she graduated in Form 7.

Looking back 13 years at school, her most memorable incident was injuring herself while competiting in a basketball competition: "While at school, I played basketball and ping pong. In Form 5 there was a basketball competition and I broke my foot which was quite serious. My whole foot swell up and needed to use cruches for 2 months, and even until now it is an old injury! It was very painful back then, I usually took 15 minutes to walk a path, but after the injury, it took me an extra hour! It was a very memorable Form 5, because of this sports injury and affected my mood during exams."

At school, her school marks were passable, but in the area of sports, she was very athletic sportstar. Shirley even represented the school in outer competitions in basketball and ping pong. However, mentioning times in school, especially lunch times: "Every day eating lunch, I can go with a group of friends to a close noodle shop to eat. It was really happy!"

Shirley Yeung Keeps A Good Figure & Maintains Status As Slimming Spokesperson Big Sister

With a devil's figure, Shirley Yeung has always been asked to do numerous swimsuit jobs, earning her much money in a year. However, Shirley says that she is not afraid of being threatened, and even continued her contact as the spokesperson for a slimming company - maintaining her status as big sister.

Running out infront with "young face big breasts", Shirley has always held down other fa dans, and became the big sister of swimsuit functions. However, in the recent year there are numerous models like Chrissie Chow and Wylien Chiu who use their figure as their selling point, stealing many swimsuit jobs. As for other models emerging, Shirley does not feel threatended. Very calm, she says: "Most important it to maintain it well. The market for models and artistes are quite different; models have alot of photoshoots and catwalk functions, whereas we aim to promote, so it's hard to compare."

Nevertheless, Shirley has kept an eye out for "competitors", and even openly prasied Chrisse. She says: "Her figure is really good". (Recently, her slimming advertisement was very hot, are you afraid there will be comparisons?) "Every slimming company will find the girl that suits them the best, its a friendly competition."

As the spokesperson for a slimming company, Shirley had already taken a few photoshoots, which includes a bikini top with shorts, a X-shaped swimsuit, a waist-revealing red night gown, a blue glittery dress and ten more other looks.

Shirley expresses that she was very satisfied with the result, and reveals that the night gown was specially designed. During the photoshoot, Shirley was worried that her stomach will show, so she was willing to starve herself for that moment. She explains: "After eating, you will see my stomach, so even though we filmed for 10 or more hours, I didn't dare eat anything. Though, most of the time its eat little in many meals, but in some areas, like arms or stomach fat will need the help of the slimming company." Lastly, Shirley also revealed that last year's hard-work earned her a six-figure sum.

Shirley Yeung Wishes To Portray Various Roles

Wayne Lai, Shirley Yeung and Kwok Fung were guests on the show "Discovering TVB Drama King" talking about the issue of the top villains in history. Shirley reveals that she had once played a villain in "The Brink Of Law" where she envies Kate Tsui for liking Ron Ng, and thus, take the point of no return. At the same time, Shirley also took home the "Best Villain" award at Malaysia's Astro Wah Lai Toi Awards. Shirley says that it was very exciting the first time portraying a villain, and believes that it is a good breakthrough role. She also has been constantly doing numerous advertisements; and does not mind taking on a role as the villian, but also hopes to portray various roles too.

Shirley Yeung Bakes Cake For Mother

Shirley Yeung reveals that every year she will give carnations (a type of flower) to her mum for Mother's Day and yesterday she even took her mum to the flower market. Mrs Yeung says that her daughter is very obedient: "She doesn't need me to worry about anything." Shirley says that other than giving her mum flowers and inviting her to dinner, she had personally baked a cake for her: "I recently had to film a Mother's Day program where I learnt how to make a strawberry cake, because I hardly cook myself, so my mum was very happy to receive such a gift."
